Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Leh
- Upon morning arrival in Leh via flight, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink and take the necessary time to rest, allowing your body to acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh (3500 meters). Later in the afternoon, embark on an orientation walk through the city markets, followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day Excursion To Sham Valley (65 Kms / 4 Hrs – One Way)
- Following breakfast, embark on a downstream drive along the picturesque River Indus on the Leh – Kargil Highway. Commence the day's sightseeing with a visit to the Hall of Fame, a museum constructed by the Indian Army, showcasing artifacts of national significance. Continue the journey to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, situated at an altitude of 3600 meters and about 22 kilometers from Leh. This Gurudwara was constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Next on the itinerary is Magnetic Hill, a fascinating location that seemingly defies the law of gravity.
- Continuing the journey, proceed just before Nimmu Village to witness the Confluence of Two Rivers – the Indus River flowing from Tibet (left) and the Zanskar River flowing from Zanskar Valley (right). After this, head to Alchi Gompa, a complex of temples in the village that dates back to the 11th century. It is among Ladakh's most celebrated monasteries. Following the Alchi visit, return to Leh, with an enroute stop at Likir Monastery, originally built in the 11th century and later reconstructed in the 18th century. The monastery houses a magnificent 25 feet Lord Buddha statue covered in gold. Return to Leh for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Transfer From Leh To Nubra Valley Via Khardung La (120 Kms / 4-5 Hrs)
- After breakfast, our journey takes us to Nubra Valley. The route from Leh to Nubra Valley traverses the Khardung La, standing as the Second Highest Motorable Road In The World at an elevation of 5,602 meters or 18,390 feet, approximately 39 kilometers from Leh. From this pass, the panoramic view extends southward over the Indus valley, revealing seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, while to the north, the giants of the Saser massif dominate the landscape.
- Nubra Valley, also known as Ldumra or the Valley of Flowers, is nestled between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas, situated in the north of Ladakh. The average altitude of this enchanting valley is 10,000 feet above sea level. Upon reaching Nubra, check in at the Camp or Hotel in Hunder for an overnight stay. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll around the charming tiny villages to observe and appreciate the local way of life in this unique part of the world. Enjoy an overnight stay at the Camp or Hotel in Nubra.

Day 4 Excursion To Turtuk
- Following an early breakfast, embark on a journey to Turtuk, a village of strategic significance that India acquired in the 1971 war with Pakistan. Situated in close proximity to the border, Turtuk offers a unique blend of cultural influences, featuring a 16th-century Mosque that reflects elements of Turkish and Iranian cultures. Explore the historic remnants of the Dhards fort and visit the monastery in the area.
- Marvel at the breathtaking view of the renowned K2 peak, the second-highest peak globally after Mount Everest. After an enriching day of exploration, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer From Nubra Valley To Pangong Lake (150 Kms / 5hrs)
- Following an early breakfast, we check out from the camp or hotel and proceed towards Hunder. Here, you have the unique opportunity to ride on a Bactrian camel (double-humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high-altitude desert, with snow-capped mountains forming a picturesque backdrop. On the return journey, make a stop at Diskit, the headquarters town of Nubra Valley. Take a leisurely stroll around the bazaar, observing local shops and residents going about their daily routines.
- Continue the journey towards Pangong Tso via Agham and the Shyok Valley. Some sections of the road, particularly towards the Nubra side, may present challenging conditions, but the scenic beauty along the way makes the journey truly captivating. After navigating through this adventurous part, drive further towards Durbuk and Tangtse to reach Pangong. En route, pass through a few small villages of Changthang, and suddenly, you'll be greeted with a stunning view of Pangong Lake, situated at an altitude of 14,000 feet (4,267 m). Upon arrival, check in at our camp/hotel near Pangong Lake. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Transfer From Pangong Lake To Leh Via Chang La (140 Kms / 6 Hrs)
- Enjoy a leisurely morning to explore the serene beauty of Pangong Lake. Later, embark on the journey back to Leh, passing through Changla Pass at 5486 meters. Along the way, make stops at significant landmarks, including Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of the Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Continue to Thiksey, an impressive complex that rises tier upon tier on a hill above the village. Afterward, drive another 5 kilometers through a picturesque landscape to reach Shey Palace, the ancient capital of Ladakh, and the iconic 3 Idiots Rancho School.
